Full Storm Damage & Claims Support
From initial inspection through final payment, we manage the entire process so you don't have to.
Charlotte's Storm Season Is Serious Business
The Charlotte area sits in a hail corridor that produces more than 10 significant hail events per year on average. The Piedmont's geography funnels supercell thunderstorms toward the metro, and hail larger than 1 inch — the threshold for cosmetic damage — larger than 1.5 inches causes functional damage that insurers are generally required to cover. If your home was in a significant hail event in the past 24 months, there is a reasonable chance your roof has damage you haven't discovered yet.
Wind damage is equally common. The summer derecho-style storms that hit Charlotte regularly produce 60–75 mph gusts that lift ridge caps, blow off shingles in isolated sections, and stress flashing points. Most wind damage is partially visible and partially hidden — a qualified inspector will find what a homeowner walking the yard cannot.
Why the Insurance Process Matters
A poorly filed insurance claim leaves money on the table. Adjusters work for the insurance company — their job is to pay the minimum the policy requires. When a homeowner files without documentation and without an experienced contractor present at the adjustment, damage is frequently missed, scoped too narrowly, or depreciated incorrectly. We've helped hundreds of Charlotte homeowners recover full roof replacements that would have been denied or underpaid without proper advocacy.
Note: we never encourage homeowners to file claims on non-covered damage or to inflate legitimate claims. Our goal is to ensure that covered damage is fully documented and properly compensated — nothing more.
What You Pay
For storm damage covered by insurance, you pay your deductible. That's it. We do not charge additionally for claim assistance, adjuster meetings, documentation packages, or supplement negotiation. Our fee is the same as it would be for any replacement: the insurance-approved amount.

We Know the Insurance Process Cold
Peak Roofing has assisted with over 400 insurance claims since 2009. We know how Charlotte-area insurers document, scope, and pay hail and wind claims. We know which damage types are frequently missed by adjusters, which depreciation schedules are commonly inflated, and which supplements are routinely denied on first submission but approved with the right documentation on appeal.
We don't act as a public adjuster — that requires a separate license. But as the licensed roofing contractor performing the work, we have every right to be present at the adjustment, to advocate for complete documentation, and to negotiate supplements when the scope is inadequate. That advocacy has made a meaningful difference for hundreds of Charlotte homeowners.
Call us before you file. A free inspection costs you nothing, and it ensures your claim starts on solid footing — with proper documentation, complete scope, and a contractor who will be there when the adjuster arrives.
